There’s a perfectly round cloud
Sitting in a blue sky
Pretending he’s the moon.

Sitting up there as a perfect circle
Where there’s no wind to give him up,
Until a renegade breeze blows the whistle.

What was once full is embarrassed, waning,
Slowly retreating into what he has always been:
A cloud waiting for the wind to send him on his way.
